Elephants Laugh
Inviting you to a world without light. In this complete darkness, you’ll explore a special performing arts experience and discover new senses through the language of the body.
Introduction“Nice to meet you, and welcome to all. We are in Seoul in 2024. You are now in a world without light. To those who are accustomed to light, this world may be perceived as darkness. Yet for others, it might not be dark at all. This world is a place you are unfamiliar with, where you may feel afraid but can confront the UNKNOWN. Even if just for a fleeting moment, could we believe in the wonder of the experience we are about to share?”
Synopsis<Unseen Turmoil> is not a performance to be watched but one to be experienced. It tells our stories which are difficult to describe with words, through the body that holds the history of life, sharing the sensation of coexistence. We hope that the audience will explore various corners of this unknown world, perhaps get lost, dance with strangers, and willingly hold someone’s hand.
Facilitates dramatic encounters between strangers through the performance.

Based on site-specific performance, the work is grounded in the stories of communities and their places. This approach creates performances that invite strangers to meet each other and become aware of their connections.
