Asian Playwright Project - Writing Places Real and Imagined

Asian Playwright Project was formed in 2024 and comprises Contemporary Asian Australian Performance (Sydney), Kyoto Experiment (Kyoto), National Theater & Concert Hall (Taipei), Seoul Performing Arts Festival (Seoul) and National Asian Culture Center (Gwangju), SquareSums&Co and Satellites (Auckland), and WestK Performing Arts (Hong Kong).

Asian Playwright Project aims to explore Asian new writing tendencies - what perspectives and narratives are told now— to discuss how the meaning of diaspora has changed, particularly through an Asian lens and to provide dialogues on Asian playwriting with critics, translators, dramaturgs and audiences.
