A climate change board game played on the stage – the future of the forest is in your hands

How much can you do for the forest of the future?
<Moving a Forest Theatre Game 1.0> is an audience-engaging theater game and play that tests if a forest being threatened by climate change can be moved. It was originally created as a board game in 2020 to save a near-extinction forest. After a year of beta testing, it was developed into a play performed in a black box.
Come join the play! You are invited as a junior researcher of the lab.

Synopsis

You have to save the forest; no one knows when it will be destroyed. According to the Crowther Lab in Zurich, Switzerland, trees would have to move 6.4 km north annually to find the same condition they are living in. However, there are not a lot of places left on earth for trees to thrive, because humans have taken most of them. If trees disappear, humanity will be in danger. Humans are used to development even in the face of crises caused by climate change; yet so many believe that no development means the end of the world. The audience visits Future Resources Office’s Ecology Lab where research to save forests is being conducted. Many research studies are in progress to save forests.
Which future is the one for humans and our planet? The audience determines the future of the forest. Each performance’s outcome will depend on what its participants decide to do.
