OH! MY LIFE MOVEMENT THEATER
<Piggies’ Dance> was originally created for youth when it was first performed in 2021. Although the omniverse performance consists of four subthemes that are not related, they are all related to the main theme of climate change and the co-existence of diversity. <Piggies’ Dance> talks about a rather serious theme of the time through easy and simple dances, which enable both the creator and the audience to seek questions.
Synopsis
I don’t think humans are special, if we all breathe the same air on earth.
Red meat is tasty. In fact, when I saw the word “all-you-can-eat”, I turned a blind eye to it. But human greed caused foot and mouth disease and the COVID-19 pandemic. I would like to talk about this distressing and guilty feeling before it’s too late. How can we co-exist when we are both alike and different?
#Piggies’ Dance
Humans sometimes become pigs. In some books, pigs are portrayed like humans. Pigs are one of the closest animals to humans, but also the most neglected animals. Remember: pushing the nose slightly up is enough to make us look like pigs.
In Jung-ju founded Oh! My Life Movement Theater with dancer Park Neong Cool in 2005 and has been engaging in various artistic experiments with dance at the core.
Working as a choreographer, she has been exploring children and youth’s world of dance since she has introduced <A View of the World from Children’s Innocent Minds>, a future-oriented project. Her works include performances at the SPAF, the 1st Seoul Dance Collection, grand prize winners <Transforming View> (2007) and <DANCE Inter-view> (2011), <Dreaming Bodies> (2006), <Fruits, Musical Instruments and Picture Books> (2019), <Animal Theater Dance> (2020) and <Space •Child •Life •Dance> (2021).

Since their introduction of future-oriented project <A View of the World from Children’s Innocent Minds>, they have been focusing on dance projects for infants, toddlers, children and youth. They have been selected for Project for Nurturing and Supporting Resident Art Groups in Performing Arts, currently working as a resident art group at the Seongsu Art Hall.
