Liberal movement of dances that answers “I pig-let myself!” to “You can’t! Can’t you?”

작품소개

<Piggies’ Dance> was originally created for youth when it was first performed in 2021. Although the omniverse performance consists of four subthemes that are not related, they are all related to the main theme of climate change and the co-existence of diversity. <Piggies’ Dance> talks about a rather serious theme of the time through easy and simple dances, which enable both the creator and the audience to seek questions.

Synopsis

I don’t think humans are special, if we all breathe the same air on earth.
Red meat is tasty. In fact, when I saw the word “all-you-can-eat”, I turned a blind eye to it. But human greed caused foot and mouth disease and the COVID-19 pandemic. I would like to talk about this distressing and guilty feeling before it’s too late. How can we co-exist when we are both alike and different?

#Piggies’ Dance
Humans sometimes become pigs. In some books, pigs are portrayed like humans. Pigs are one of the closest animals to humans, but also the most neglected animals. Remember: pushing the nose slightly up is enough to make us look like pigs.

  • “They are all dancers, but they don’t give out typical, identical images. Their various aspects are shown through their existences. I could feel that it was a harmony of different people from the very first scene.”
    - Audience review (Naver Blog_tigger17)
  • “This dance drama showed how the world of plants that has once flourished has been destroyed by humans and industrializations and how polar bears slowly disappear from our memory, just like how our lives cannot be independent of our surroundings.”
    - Audience review (Naver Blog_marswyj)
  • “The play delivers the value of co-existence in such a genuine way with the language of movement. I can pig-let myself! You can pig-let yourself! We can pig-let ourselves!”
