NUTCRUSHER deals with the process that proposes or explores how the female body is commercialized as a social construct and how the female body, regarded almost as a commodity, can be seen from different angles. The piece looks at how the audience perceives the female body on stage and what society demands of the female body.
Sung-im Her
As a choreographer, artist and immigrant based in Europe, Her Sung-im has been traveling between Europe and Korea to work on various projects with choreographers, directors and musicians. Both in and outside of Korea, she has been challenging the stereotypes that the public have subconsciously accepted and repeatedly been educated around the theme of women.
Other than her own individual works, she collaborates often with Korean and international artists of different disciplines and is currently a guest member and assistant choreographer of Needcompany in Belgium.
Her major works include <님프>(2015), <유 아 오케이!>(2017) and <웨이>(2019).

Her Sung Im Project interpret and approaches different stories of contemporary world through body and music. Aiming for sincere and humble stories rather than glamorous and flashy works, the creative group values and cares about the process. Members in Europe(Greece, Belgium and UK) and Korea regularly have online meetings to discuss their interests and approaches. And their extensive research and understanding become the foundation for gradually weaving their works step by step.
