In a virtual world where magic exists, the ongoing wars between three nations unfold through contrasting narratives—blurring the lines between truth, fiction, and perception.

Introduction

Co-produced with the Seoul Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) and the National Asian Culture Center(ACC). The Third War is a three-year operatic project running from 2024 through 2026. In 2024, its libretto was developed through a workshop on the theme of “war.” This year, selected parts of the piece will be unveiled in a Work in Progress presentation. Set in an imagined world where magic exists, <The Third War> portrays the wars of three nations through distinct narratives, revealing the shifting boundaries between truth, fact, and falsehood. Written and directed by Bonn Park, with a compelling score by composer Ben Roessler, the opera offers audiences a bold and immersive theatrical experience.
