Korea’s top female dancers are here with their solo stages.

Drawing much attention with an ingenious idea of pairing choreographers and dancers and crossing the line between them, Soloist at SPAF provides dancers with an ideal opportunity to show off the best of their abilities as soloists, solely responsible for the large stage. Presented by Arts Council Korea-Performing Arts Center, the program first began in 2011. Performances by soloists, dominating the large stage all alone, are remembered by the audience as the highlight of the collaboration between the dancer and the choreographer. This year Soloist showcases performances by today’s top artists: Joowon Kim, one of Korea’s most accomplished ballerinas; Jin-yeob Cha, a top figure in the contemporary dance scene; and Yun-na Jang, rising star of the National Dance Company of Korea. With magnificent performances by these artists, the audience could enjoy the true art of dance and intellectual amusement on stage.
